Notes: Yuichi’s birthday fic! The title ‘kataomoi’ means one-sided love, but really, it’s not as depressing as it sounds. ^^;; I think a few bits here and there might leave some wondering about some things, but that’s what happens when I’m being vague, lol.
When he first met Kazuya, it was not long after he had joined Johnnys Jimusho. He would always remember how he, his mum and Kazuya had ran all the way to their first class, because they had ended up waiting at the wrong venue.
They had become good friends since. Yuichi figured that it might have been that day that he started having feelings for Kazuya. Love at first sight. He knew though, that it was only another start to a one-sided love.
“I think I might have feelings for Jin.”
Yuichi had listened, and tried his best to pay attention to what Kazuya was saying. Somewhere in between he got distracted by how Kazuya’s eyes were sparkling, face all lit up just talking about how great Jin was. Those same eyes were later filled with uncertainty and worry about whether Jin would reciprocate his feelings. Yuichi couldn’t deny that he was a tad bit jealous, but being the good friend that he was, assured Kazuya that there was nothing to worry about.
He had watched quietly from the sidelines as Kazuya and Jin got together. At times he was envious, but most of the time he was just happy for Kazuya. Call him a fool, but Yuichi was sort of contented. He noticed though, when the two of them seemed to be growing apart after so many years. While other people would have rejoiced and took it as an opportunity, Yuichi was worried, and found himself trying to think of a way to save their relationship.
But try as he might, Yuichi was no hero who could prevent things from blowing up in their faces.
Jin had approached him one day, asking him if he had known that things were going to turn out the way it did. Yuichi apologised for not being able to save the situation, but Jin just laughed.
“Nakamaru, you should be selfish for once.”
Yuichi frowned, unsure of what Jin meant. Seeing Yuichi’s confusion, Jin continued.
“If you don’t be selfish, you’ll never get the happiness that you deserve.”
Jin had left it at that. Yuichi thought that he got what Jin meant, but wasn’t hundred percent sure.
Kazuya spent most of the time with Yuichi thereafter. Soon, Kazuya and Jin were also on better terms. Out of curiosity, Yuichi asked if Kazuya intended to get back with Jin. Kazuya had paused in deep thought, before shaking his head, not giving any reason. Yuichi decided not to press further.
One day, out of the blue, Kazuya pulled him aside, saying that he needed to talk with Yuichi about something. Yuichi waited, ready to listen, like always.
“I think I might have feelings for someone.”
Yuichi nodded. “Who?”
“Guess.”
“Guess?” Yuichi raised an eyebrow, pondering. “Nishikido-kun?”
“No. Jin would kill me.”
“Oh yah. Er, it’s not Koki right?”
“Nope, but close.”
“Close? Another bozu?”
“Hai!”
“Gimme more hints.”
“A hint?” Kazuya paused. And then to Yuichi’s surprise, Kazuya kissed him on the lips.
Yuichi blinked. Then he pinched his own cheek.
“Ow! Itai!”
“Aho.” Kazuya laughed. “But that’s what I love about you.”
“You have feelings for me?” Yuichi pointed at himself.
“…”
A whack on Yuichi’s head.
“What?!”
“Yes I like you, aho.”
“Oh.” Yuichi tried to collect his thoughts. Moments later, he suddenly exclaimed. “Chotto! Did you just call me a bozu?!”
“Hai!” Kazuya grinned before kissing Yuichi on the lips once more. “But it’s okay. I love you anyway.”
Yuichi smiled. Maybe he could have his own happy ending after all.

Anyway! Why did u write a fic that inlcudes Akame? D: *shocked* The Yume-part was very cute, tho ^.~
