Chapter Fourteen Point Five (Yamapi’s logic.)
“Ryo, Ko-chan wanted me to tell you that the coach said that we are starting training an hour earlier today.” Kusano said as he entered the back of the 1-4 classroom. “Hi Kamenashi-kun!”
“Hi Kusano-kun.”
“Is that all?” Ryo asked. “If so, the exit is behind you.”
“Mou, don’t be so cold. I’m your club mate ne.” Kusano remarked, before turning his attention back to Kame. “Kamenashi-kun, I hear that some of you guys play baseball over the weekend sometimes right? Eh, just wondering, can I join y’all?”
“You can play baseball?” Ryo raised an eyebrow.
“Ah, a little. I’m not really good at it.” Kusano replied sheepishly.
“Looks like you’re not good at anything then, since you’re not that great at tennis either.”
“Oi!”
“Ryo-chan, don’t be so mean. Anyway, Kusano-kun, if you want to join us, I don’t think the others would mind.”
“Iyada!” A voice interrupted them. Yamapi strode in and stood between Kusano and Kame. “This guy can’t join us for baseball.”
“Who are you to say ‘no’?” Ryo snorted. “And since when do you go for baseball?”
“Don’t look down on me. I’m really good with a bat.” Yamapi looked at Kusano menacingly when he said the last five words.
“Uh, I gotta go back to class now. See you later, Ryo.” Kusano said and took off in a hurry.
“Pi, don’t be so mean. You’re scaring everybody.” Kame frowned. “Kusano-kun just wanted to play baseball. There’s nothing wrong with that.”
“He has an ulterior motive! That guy likes you, and even got slapped by Ryo-chan for saying you’re cute.”
Kame turned to Ryo questioningly. “You slapped Kusano-kun?”
“I did?” Ryo feigned innocence. “I don’t remember.”
“Don’t lie! Nino told me.” Yamapi pointed at Ryo accusingly. “Anyway, the point is that Kusano is dangerous. I’m not letting him within a ten metre radius of Kazuya.”
Kame decided not to bother arguing with Yamapi whenever the latter gets into his over-protective mode. Like that time when Jin had called Kame out for a movie, Yamapi was adamant that Jin was up to no good because he didn’t ask Yamapi along, and had taken the initiative to join them. Jin later claimed that he assumed Yamapi was definitely coming along with Kame anyway and even had the three tickets he bought to prove it, but Yamapi was still unconvinced.
Now that they were back at school, it seemed like Yamapi got even more protective. Kame knew that part of it was probably because of what had happened last time when the rumour was going around. On the first day of the new semester, Yamapi had made it a point to wait for him outside the school gate in the morning — even though Kame normally came to school with Ryo anyway so he didn’t see why he would be in any ‘danger’ — and immediately grabbed Kame’s hand and walked into school while Ryo just followed behind nonchalantly. Ryo said to Kame later in class that it was ‘The Announcement’ and it was ‘that fellow’s way of telling everyone to keep their hands off’.
“I’m hungry.” Ryo announced.
“Then let’s go to the canteen.” Yamapi said.
“Eh, I made bento for us this morning.”
“Kazuya made me a love bento?” Yamapi eyes sparkled.
“Because of it I had to wait so long this morning for him to get ready for school.” Ryo grumbled.
“Sumimasen.” Kame said as he took out the bento boxes and put them on the table.
“Eh?! Why are there three boxes?”
“One for you, one for me, and one for Ryo-chan. You mean there should be more?”
“Why did you make one for Ryo-chan too?”
“Because he’s my other half.” Ryo stated smugly. “And as I’ve said many times, I’ll always be Kame’s other half so deal with it.”
“And as I’ve said countless times, I’m Kazuya’s one true love and his ever after.”
“So what? I still get to eat the bento Kame made, don’t I?” Ryo retorted nonchalantly as he dug into his meal. “Oh, oishii.”
“Hontou?” Kame smiled happily.
“But then that means this isn’t a love bento anymore.” Yamapi pouted.
“Pi, aren’t you going to eat? I made sure that your bento had extra niku…”
Yamapi quickly opened his bento and grinned happily when he saw the contents. His grin grew wider as he quickly compared his bento with Ryo’s. “Hontou da! And my onigiri is in the shape of a heart! Kazuya no kokoro ka. Arigatou.” Yamapi gave a quick peck on Kame’s cheek.
“Oishii?” Kame asked as Yamapi started eating.
“Hai! Oishii!!!”
“Hontou?”
“Umai desu!”
“Yokatta.”
“Na, shiawase da! Kazuya no rabu-bento.”
“Oi oi, can you two stop with your sappy conversation?” Ryo made a face. “You’re making me lose my appetite.”
“Oh, then I’ll eat your share for you!” Yamapi announced happily but Ryo pulled back the bento from the other’s grasp.
“Sawaru na! I’m still hungry after all.”
“Che.”
Somewhere in the school canteen, Sho asked Nino as they joined the table where Taisuke, Toma and HaseJun were sitting at. “Eh, where’s Yamapi?”
“Wherever Kame is, as usual.” Nino replied. “You’ve been asking me that since school reopened. Why? Do you miss him?”
“Nah, I’m just not used to it yet, since he’s usually hovering around you.”
“That guy is always like that. Whenever he’s with someone, he forgets about his friends, that heartless bastard.” Nino said dismissively.
Back in the classroom, Yamapi sneezed.
“Ryo, were you thinking something bad about me?” Yamapi pointed at Ryo accusingly.
“I have much better things to think about than to think about you.”
“Yeah, go think about your beloved Uchi.”
“Hey Kame, let’s play tennis this Sunday.” Ryo said, ignoring Yamapi.
“Tennis?” Kame tilted his head.
“He can’t. Kazuya has a date with me.”
Ryo continued to ignore Yamapi. “I can teach you how to play. And oh yeah, didn’t you say that Akanishi wanted to learn tennis too? You can ask him to join us. I’ll teach both of you.”
“No!”
Ryo tsked. “Yamapi, don’t you trust Kame?”
“Of course I trust Kazuya. It’s just that I don’t trust you and Akanishi. If you guys are going to play tennis, I’m going too!”
“Pi, it’s only Ryo-chan and Jin.” Kame sweatdropped.
“It’s precisely because you don’t think they’re dangerous, that’s why it’s even more dangerous.”
“I’m dangerous?” Ryo snorted. “And what kind of logic is that?”
“Mine.”
“Ah, true. Only you would think that the whole world is after the ugly turtle. Love is blind.”

awwww how sweeett hahaha i didn’t go on a-baka to read this..actually im not even sure if u posted it on a-baka..but AWWWW kame and ryo!!! hhehehe well if part 2 is gonna be up by kame’s birthday..thats only 3 more days! ganbatte!! im looking forward to it~~ what happens with akanishi?? =]] and why dont sho and nino tell the others..? i was waiting so long for the 2nd part hahaah i read double quite a while ago =DD heheh thx for writing!!

And I’m also happy that Jin didn’t get to appear more than for this one scene *gets killed by Akame-fans* XD Haha, no seriously, he’d just make things even more complicated right now, while Kame and Ryo needed to figure their issues out first ^.~
Kame constantly sulking just makes me wanna pat him all the time – So cute *laughs* It’s a pity Yamapi never got to stay close to him for long, but well, shouldn’t have Ryo get jealous, too, right now, ne? *pats Ryo as well for having to bear with a jealous!Kame* *rofl*
Speaking of Ryo, for some reason the ‘Yamapi’s willing slave’ term had me crack up so badly. Wonder if he’d really go as far as become a willing slave for Pi like Kame suspects XD
And I loved this part:
“But I like Kame too.” Yamapi stated easily.
“Yamapi, you’re making this whole thing more complicated. Don’t make the shape even weirder!”
“It’s still a square.”
“Oh yeah, you’re right.”

See! It’s posted! It’s posted even if Idol-chan said it wasn’t going to be~! x3 And it’s 6 pages of a lovely, printed ficcy~ It’s even more lovely than the…oh my, I forgot mom bought be doughnuts! *looks at the clock* It’s past 11 pm ;___;~ Too late for sweets…
I absolutely loved the “keitai strap” quarrel~ I’m obessed with matching straps and it was so cute~ Ryo-chan is really mean to Kame sometimes ^_^; Such a baka. But on the other hand it was incredibly sweet how when he asked Jin to go on a date with Kame, but lied to Kame later~ *glomps both of them* Just why was Jin simply sitting there and not even noticing them? Should I feel sorry for him, because he was tired or scold him for ignoring others? *blinks*
I laughed at Pi’s conspiracy… So childish. So was the conversation with Taisuke…. How come you guys make them so…how to put it not to offend the boys… well… stupid? XD
“See! Three! There’s one more I don’t know about!”
“Eh, Kame, I was talking about you.” – my favorite part xD So clueless it hurts~!
Sho-kun’s “time-out” also fitted there perfectly. Is his mind ever off the court? Of course, if Nino isn’t around?
Eh, Nino was lucky to get that surprise bday party. It had to be a surprise if it was a week earlier, nee. Such a pity it usually happenes in fanfiction and movies only. I’d like one, too. But before I started complaining at my friends not being creative enough, I dropped my jaw at Taisuke’s announcement. That boy is scary ^_^; *glomps Taisuke* Or maybe Yamapi the Drama Queen is the scary one..?

yay! I really liked this. and yup, it was really sweet of Ryo to ask Jin out for Kame even though he likes him. poor Ryo, and I loved sulking and jealous Kame! ^_^ I also agree with SumeragiAeka about the layout. Love the pictures used, and looking forward to reading the next chapter!

ohhhhhhh…. this is great! i read “double” not too long ago and really enjoyed it. i’m so glad you’re now writing (another, lol) fic with a prominent kame… and potentionally one of my favorite pairings, too.
