Chapter Ten
Kame was awoken by a loud crash in the room. Normally, he would have sat up at the sudden disturbance, but he was still sleepy, and he felt so comfortable lying there that all he wanted to do was continue to sleep and pretend that he hadn’t heard anything. He felt the bed move as the warmth and comfort that enveloped him started to dissipate. When he felt the cold air from the air-conditioner sweep over him because of the lifting of his blanket, Kame shivered slightly, and finally forced his eyes open.
Opening one eye, he saw Yamapi’s ruffled hair. Yamapi’s eyes were half-closed, clearly still half-asleep. Kame wondered how it was possible that Yamapi could look cute so early in the morning, as Yamapi yawned. The taller boy was squatting next to another boy with ruffled hair. Jin, rubbing his head, groaning in pain.
“How the heck did you manage to fall off the bed?” Kame heard Yamapi ask, ending the question with another yawn. Kame felt like yawning himself.
“Ah, I think I dreamt that I got tackled in a soccer match and was brought to the ground… so I ended up rolling off the bed. Ahahaha.” Jin replied sheepishly. “Sorry to wake you guys up.”
“It’s okay, we have to wake up soon anyway.” Yamapi replied as he crawled towards the clock to check the time, then crawled back into bed. “I’m going to get a few more winks before the alarm rings.”
Jin watched as Yamapi and Kame returned to their slumber, Yamapi’s arms automatically surrounding Kame protectively, while the latter snuggled into the taller boy’s embrace. He smiled at the sight, before tip-toeing his way out of the room and back to his.
About half and hour later, the shrill of the alarm filled the room, but both boys refused to budge. Finally, annoyed by the high pitch of the alarm, Yamapi turned off the alarm and yawned once more. He then noticed Kame still in his arms, and the position they were in. Yamapi jumped off the bed in surprise. He was going to be killed by Ryo.
“Ohayou.” Kame said groggily, rubbing his eyes.
“Ohayou.” Yamapi nodded nervously. “Erm, I’m going to wash up.” He grabbed his things and hurried out as fast as he could.
* * * * *
Nino eyes fluttered open. Toilet. He crawled out of bed, still groggy with sleep. Five minutes later, he plodded back into the room, feeling a tad more awake. The sun was streaming in through a gap in the curtains, casting a soft light on the huddled shape underneath the covers of the bed by the window. Nino moved closer and knelt on the floor beside the bed, resting his elbows on the side as he propped his head, a little smile playing on his lips as he watched the sleeping face in front of him. Kawaii! He leaned closer, kissing those lips lightly, before pulling back to his original position, still smiling lightly as he traced a finger along the side of the other’s face.
Suddenly, Nino found his trailing finger being grasped by a warm hand, lithe fingers intertwining with his. “Ohayou.”
“You’re awake?”
“How do you expect me to sleep,” a finger reached out to tap Nino playfully on his nose, “when your cute face is staring at me like that?”
“You were pretending to be asleep!”
“I wasn’t. Sleeping beauty was woken up with a kiss.” Sho grinned cheekily. Nino tried to twack him on the head with his free hand but it was caught easily.
“Don’t call yourself sleeping beauty, baka-Waah.”
In a swift manoevre, Sho had pulled Nino down onto the bed, sending the bed covers flying in a flurry, and in a reversal of position, was now pinning the smaller boy down. Nino could feel his warm breath as Sho leant closer, whispering, the smirk that laced his voice casting seductive baritone. “Sou, sou. Nino should be the beauty ne?” A smile curled Sho’s lips as he started nuzzling Nino’s neck, his right hand sliding under the latter’s white t-shirt, fingers lightly drawing circles on smooth skin.
“Sho-kun hentai!” Nino managed an insult before his breath caught, as Sho licked a sensitive spot beneath his jawline.
Sho lifted his head slightly, laughter tingling his voice, his eyes glistening in mirth. “Nino mo deshou?”
“Baka.” But it was more a term of endearment, as Nino’s lips soon found Sho’s, pressing and sliding firmly, his fingers playing with the hair at the nape of Sho’s neck, his body pushing foward, up against the length of Sho’s body. Sho’s hips arched closer in instinctive response, his roaming hands moving across familiar territory, as he returned the kiss with equal fervour. Skilled fingers slipped past the loose waistband of Nino’s shorts, brushing lightly against sensitive skin, eliciting a moan as Nino instinctively arched his back, wanting more of Sho’s touch.
Then, the sudden sound of banging on the door interrupted proceedings. “Ninooooooo.”
On hearing Yamapi’s voice, Sho immediately sat up, a tad embarrassed at being caught as Yamapi let himself in, seeing that Nino hadn’t lock the door when he returned. “Eh, we’re just-”
“Sorry, comin’ thru.” Yamapi continued walking briskly to Nino’s bed, plopping himself in it and burying himself under Nino’s blanket. The state of tussled hair and askewed clothes, not to mention the compromising position he had found the two in could not be explained away no matter how eloquent Sho was, Yamapi thought amused. Right now though, he was more concern about his safety. “I’m just going to hide here before Ryo comes and kill me. Please, please continue.”
“Pi, remember to wait after you knock next time!” Nino grumbled aloud, before softening his voice. “You alright?”
“I’m going to wash up.” Sho quickly excused himself and made his way to the shower rooms, leaving the two best friends alone. Nino crawled into his own bed and pulled his blanket off Yamapi, looking at his pouting friend expectantly. Yamapi took a deep breath.
“Ninoooooo, you’re not going to have me as your best friend anymore. I’m going to get killed by Ryo.”
“Huh?” Nino made a face. “What the heck did you do that would have made Ryo wanna kill you? It’s not like you slept with Kame or something.”
Silence.
“What?! You slept with Kame?!”
“You don’t have to say it so loudly!” Yamapi grabbed his head in his hands. “And it’s not what you think!”
“OMG YOU HAD SEX WITH KAME!!”
“I did not have sex with Kame! Don’t put words in my mouth!”
“You said you slept with him.”
“Only sleeping. In the same bed, that’s all. No sex.”
Nino took in what Yamapi said, then rolled his eyes. “Che! Then what’s the big deal? You and I used to share the bed all the time. Though why were you sharing the bed with Kame? There’s two beds in the room.”
“It’s that Akanishi’s fault! He came into the room and then plopped himself on Kame’s bed and refused to leave. Then I offered my bed to Kame and said that I would sleep on the floor and that guy had to suggest that Kame and I share a bed because he thinks we’re a couple, and Kame didn’t even refuse and dragged me into bed. And then when I woke up this morning I found myself hugging Kame and oh my gawd Ryo’s gonna kill me.”
“Okay, calm down.”
“Ryo’s gonna kill me.”
“He’s not.”
“Ryo’s gonna kill me.”
“You only slept in the same bed, you didn’t do anything. He’s not gonna kill you.”
“Ryo’s gonna kill me. I molested his boyfriend.”
“We don’t know that Ryo’s together with Kame. And I thought you just said that you were hugging Kame, not molesting?”
“Yeah.”
“Then? Geez you hug Kame all the time. Like how you hug me all the time. And you don’t see Sho running after you with a chopper right?”
“But Sho-kun’s scared of me.”
“Why would he be scared of you?”
Yamapi smirked, refusing to answer. Nino whacked his head.
“If you still can smirk like that, I guess you’ll be fine.” Nino got off his bed and started to take his things. “I’m going to get changed.”
“You can’t leave me! What if Ryo barges in and kills me?”
“Yeah, like he would travel all the way here to kill you.” Nino rolled his eyes. “If you’re that scared, go bury yourself under the blanket.”
* * * * *
“Oh, ohayou Sho-kun.” Kame greeted as he came out from the shower. He wished he could have stayed longer, but knowing his own bad habit of spending hours in a bath, it wasn’t possible if he didn’t want to be late for training. Kame wondered where Yamapi was though, since the latter had left the room before him. Kame frowned.
“Ohayou.” Sho returned the greeting, before noticing Kame’s frown. “Is something wrong?”
“Eh? Nah, I was just wondering where Yamapi had disappeared too.” Kame smiled.
“Oh, he came to my room looking for Nino earlier.”
Kame nodded. Of course Yamapi would be with Nino. Where else could Yamapi have gone to? Kame knew it wasn’t unusual for Yamapi to shower all his attention on his best friend, but he couldn’t help wishing that Yamapi would pay more attention to himself.
Just then, Nino entered, yawning and waving at Kame. “Can you please get your roommate out of my room?”
“Is Yamapi alright?” Sho asked.
“Don’t worry about him.” Nino waved dismissively. “But yah, Kame, you might wanna get him out soon or he’ll miss breakfast and be late for training.”
“Oh, okay.” Kame said as he made his way towards Nino’s room. He was about to knock on the door when he noticed that the door was slightly ajar. Stepping in quietly, he didn’t see Yamapi anywhere, only a huge mountain of blanket. Kame smiled in amusement.
“Pi?”
“Ninooooo.” Kame heard a muffled whine from underneath the blanket, his smile disappearing from his face. There was some ruffling as the person underneath the blanket lifted the covers and turned to face Kame. Upon noticing Kame though, Yamapi quickly hid himself once more.
“Oi Pi, what are you doing?” Kame asked, as he knelt on the edge of the bed and tried to pull the blanket off Yamapi.
Yamapi tugged back, refusing to answer, and refusing to reveal himself. It annoyed Kame, who pulled at the blanket harder, but Yamapi only pulled back more. The tug and war continued until Yamapi’s tug was so strong that it sent himself rolling off the bed and onto the floor. Kame, who had been holding on tightly to the blanket, ended up flying off the bed as well, landing on top of Yamapi.
Faces only centimetres apart, eyes locked and lips hovering over the other’s, Kame felt his heart beat quicken immensely, heat rising in his cheeks. He froze at first, shocked and embarrassed, before jumping up. But losing his balance once more, he ended up sitting on Yamapi’s lap.
“Pi, daijoubu? Did I hurt you?” Kame asked, concerned as he noticed Yamapi cringing in pain. Yamapi put a hand to his head, and Kame immediately started rubbing the spot. “Did you hurt your head? I’m so sorry!”
Yamapi pulled Kame’s hand away, rubbing his own head with his free hand. “Kame-chan, it’s not your fault.”
Kame stared at Yamapi’s hand on his, the familiar sound of Yamapi calling him ‘Kame-chan’ ringing in his ears.
“Why is my bed in such a mess?” Nino’s voice interrupted, as he and Sho returned from the toilet. “Did you two have a make-out session or something? Geez couldn’t you guys do that in your own room?”
Kame quickly got off Yamapi’s lap. Both boys felt their faces turn red with embarrassment.
“Nino, I just knocked my head. Shouldn’t you be worried about me instead of making fun of me?” Yamapi pouted, before suddenly gasping melodramatically. “Ah! my head’s bleeding?!”
“Pi, you’re bleeding?” Kame turned to Yamapi, eyes widened.
“Don’t believe him, Kame.” Nino said. “He’s just trying to get sympathy.”
“Che, Nino’s so cold. Pfft.” Yamapi stuck his tongue out at his best friend. “Kame-chan, we better leave the room so that Nino and Sho-kun can continue their make-out session which I accidentally interrupted earlier.”
“Yes, you’re right. So please leave.” Nino retorted while Sho looked at them sheepishly.
As Yamapi closed the door behind him, he turned around to find Kame looking at him, concerned. “Is there something wrong with my face?”
“You’re not bleeding right? You were joking right?”
“Ah, of course I was only joking. At least I don’t think I’m bleeding.” Yamapi replied. “Anyway, I think you better go first. I still have to shower so I’ll be down later.”
“Okay.” Kame nodded as he watched Yamapi head towards the toilet, leaving him behind.
* * * * *
“Kame! Over here!” Jin waved at Kame from where he sat at the team’s table.
“Sorry for troubling you last night.” MatsuJun apologised as Kame sat in the seat opposite him, next to Okada. “I didn’t think this baka here would go over to your room to sleep. He must have been a disturbance.”
“Hey, what do you mean by that?” Jin protested. “Anyway, don’t try to act nice when you were the one who kicked me out of the room.”
“Could you two not argue so early in the morning?” Morita rolled his eyes as he continued eating.
“I wasn’t the one who started it.” Jin muttered, loud enough for MatsuJun to hear, but the latter merely ignored him. Jin then turned his attention back to Kame. “Hey, where’s Yamashita?”
“He’s on his way.” Kame said.
“Ah, he better come soon or there won’t be any food left. Kame I think you better help him get some food too before everything disappears.”
“The food will only disappear so quickly because of people like you who eat too much.” MatsuJun retorted.
“Oi Matsumoto!” Jin turned to his senpai. “Could you stop bullying your kouhai?”
“Urusai na, you two.” Morita grumbled once more.
Kame smiled in amusement as he got up to get his food. He decided to take up Jin’s suggestion and help Yamapi take his share too. Just as he settled back down, Yamapi walked in and took his seat next to Kame.
“Pi, I got your food for you, just in case they cleared everything before you could grab some.”
“Ah, arigatou.” Yamapi nodded.
“You tchu are sho tchute! Sho shweet anch lovinch!” Jin said as chewed on his food. He took a gulp of his juice, before continuing. “Especially when you two were sleeping on the bed together. So shiawase!”
Silence filled the air around the table. Everyone paused in their actions. Morita and Okada were unsure of how to react. MatsuJun raised an eyebrow. Kame felt his face turn red. Yamapi glared across the table at Jin, who looked back, oblivious to what was wrong.
Suddenly, Yamapi stood up and grabbed Jin, dragging the latter out of the room. His actions attracted the attention from the other tables.
“Ah, where is JinJin being taken to?” Aiba asked aloud, while Nino looked on, curious and amused.
Kame looked down at his food, embarrassed. He started eating faster, to avoid eye contact with anybody, but ended up choking. Okada pushed a glass of juice towards him, and he took it gratefully, at the same time feeling more like an idiot. Kame couldn’t help wondering though, what Yamapi was going to say to Jin.
* * * * *
“I’m going to tell you now…” Yamapi began as he found a quiet place for the two of them to talk. “We’re not a couple.”
“Eh?” Jin’s furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “You and me? Of course we’re not a couple! I mean, yeah you’re not that bad looking, and I can see that you’re very nice to Kame, but I’m not interested and I’m not gonna fight with Kame for you.”
Yamapi rolled his eyes, not believing that Jin could be so dense. “Of course I don’t mean you and me! I meant Kame and me.”
“Oh, oh, good, good, I thought that you meant me.” Jin nodded, before realising what Yamapi had said. “Wait! Chotto matte! You and Kame aren’t a couple? Don’t lie to me!”
“I’m not lying.” Yamapi sighed, exasperated. “We’re not a couple. And anyway, Kame has a boyfriend.”
“You two broke up?”
“No, we were never a couple.”
“How can that be?” Jin made a face, unconvinced. “When you came over to Hyouyama for our cultural festival, you two were so loving! Why would Kame leave you for someone else?”
“Kame didn’t leave me. He was never with me. We were never together. So please don’t go around telling everyone that Kame and I are a couple.”
“But I think you two would make a great couple!” Jin exclaimed. Yamapi didn’t know whether to take that as a compliment or go insane over Jin’s obstinance. He tried to take a deep breath to calm himself down, but Jin only continued. “How about, I help you get together with Kame?”
“EH?” Yamapi’s eyes widened. The idea of Jin playing matchmaker scared the wits out of him. “No, no. No need to.”
“You don’t want me to help?”
“No. Thanks, but no thanks.”
“Then I’ll lend you my moral support!” Jin smiled, punching his fist in the air. “Ok, now I’m going back to finish my breakfast.”
As the other bounced happily back, Yamapi wondered why he had even associated himself with Jin in the first place.

@Chapter 1
*is still jumping around*
Aw~ I’m so happy u finally posted it up! *hearts*
And I’m also happy that Jin didn’t get to appear more than for this one scene *gets killed by Akame-fans* XD Haha, no seriously, he’d just make things even more complicated right now, while Kame and Ryo needed to figure their issues out first ^.~
Kame constantly sulking just makes me wanna pat him all the time – So cute *laughs* It’s a pity Yamapi never got to stay close to him for long, but well, shouldn’t have Ryo get jealous, too, right now, ne? *pats Ryo as well for having to bear with a jealous!Kame* *rofl*
Speaking of Ryo, for some reason the ‘Yamapi’s willing slave’ term had me crack up so badly. Wonder if he’d really go as far as become a willing slave for Pi like Kame suspects XD
And I loved this part:
“But I like Kame too.” Yamapi stated easily.
“Yamapi, you’re making this whole thing more complicated. Don’t make the shape even weirder!”
“It’s still a square.”
“Oh yeah, you’re right.”
————————————–
Yay for Taisuke’s logic! XDDD
But to keep it a square I’m sure Jin will have to show up again soon. Really curious how this next encounter is going to be~
So, don’t forget (haha, as if my constant bugging would let u forget about it XD) to post the next chapter up on Kame’s bday, ne? ^_______________________^
@Chapter 1
See! It’s posted! It’s posted even if Idol-chan said it wasn’t going to be~! x3 And it’s 6 pages of a lovely, printed ficcy~ It’s even more lovely than the…oh my, I forgot mom bought be doughnuts! *looks at the clock* It’s past 11 pm ;___;~ Too late for sweets…
I absolutely loved the “keitai strap” quarrel~ I’m obessed with matching straps and it was so cute~ Ryo-chan is really mean to Kame sometimes ^_^; Such a baka. But on the other hand it was incredibly sweet how when he asked Jin to go on a date with Kame, but lied to Kame later~ *glomps both of them* Just why was Jin simply sitting there and not even noticing them? Should I feel sorry for him, because he was tired or scold him for ignoring others? *blinks*
I laughed at Pi’s conspiracy… So childish. So was the conversation with Taisuke…. How come you guys make them so…how to put it not to offend the boys… well… stupid? XD
“See! Three! There’s one more I don’t know about!”
“Eh, Kame, I was talking about you.” – my favorite part xD So clueless it hurts~!
Sho-kun’s “time-out” also fitted there perfectly. Is his mind ever off the court? Of course, if Nino isn’t around?
Eh, Nino was lucky to get that surprise bday party. It had to be a surprise if it was a week earlier, nee. Such a pity it usually happenes in fanfiction and movies only. I’d like one, too. But before I started complaining at my friends not being creative enough, I dropped my jaw at Taisuke’s announcement. That boy is scary ^_^; *glomps Taisuke* Or maybe Yamapi the Drama Queen is the scary one..?
“childhood sweethearts” = OMG XDDD I envy Sho for not being jealous and killing Pi XD He’s so calm *admires Sho*
Ryo-chan’s talk at the end…SWEET ;___;
So. Do I really have to say it was – - – perfect? *fangirls* It’s good to know that I don’t =^____^=
Oh, but the way, I’ll just use the opportunity and compliment the new layout! ^_^ It’s extremely loveable. It’s just a pity that it’s black… Black is no good, too dark for me… But it’s cute anyway **^__^** Yay~! *glomps the layout*
Just stab be for being so irrationally cheerful today *hides*
*glomps the authors*
@Chapter 1
yay! I really liked this. and yup, it was really sweet of Ryo to ask Jin out for Kame even though he likes him. poor Ryo, and I loved sulking and jealous Kame! ^_^ I also agree with SumeragiAeka about the layout. Love the pictures used, and looking forward to reading the next chapter!
@Chapter 1
ohhhhhhh…. this is great! i read “double” not too long ago and really enjoyed it. i’m so glad you’re now writing (another, lol) fic with a prominent kame… and potentionally one of my favorite pairings, too.
